Pastor Joe's Farewell / Celebration of Ministry
For the past seven years Joe Monahan has been a strong spiritual leader, who worked tirelessly to grow our church and strengthen our faith. During his time with us, we have been blessed by his sermons which at times spoke directly to us. He has walked with us in difficult times, offering words of encouragement. He has celebrated baptisms, confirmations, and weddings with us. We are grateful for the opportunity we have had to journey with Pastor Joe and wish him the best in his new appointment at Medford UMC. In appreciation for his ministry, the Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee will host a farewell for Joe and his family on Sunday, June 16th, which is his last day with us. We will be having “Open House Celebration of Ministry” from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in the fellowship hall. This will allow our entire congregation, his family, colleagues and friends to visit with Joe, Stephanie, Zoe and Lilly.

Succasunna UMC, a dynamic, growing congregation, is seeking to hire a praise band leader. We are looking for a musician who loves the church, is proficient on an instrument, can coach vocalists and instrumentalists, who is well versed in contemporary Christian music and comfortable with a variety of musical styles. Strong administrative skills, people skills, and spiritual life are required. Commitment is for a weekly rehearsal and 9:00 Sunday morning worship, about 8-10 hours per week.
