Structure of Succasunna
Church Conference
– meets annually to elect officers, receive reports, set goals,
approve pastor’s compensation package, evaluate overall
mission/ministry of church
Administrative Council
– implements direction set by church conference, establishes budget,
manages life of the church between church conferences
Administrative Committees

Staff-Parish Relations –
the “personnel” department of the local church, responsible for
interactions with bishop & cabinet regarding pastoral appointments

Finance – creates the
budget, provides for annual audit
U
Lay Leadership –
recruiting, nurturing, training, supporting church leadership
Program Committees

Education – responsible
for the Sunday school and adult Christian education

Member Care – responds
when members need assistance, maintains membership list, makes
contact with members we haven’t seen for a while

Stewardship – plans &
conducts pledge campaign, educates us about giving
U
Missions – ministries to
meet needs in the community & beyond

Worship – manages the
worship life of the church
U
Evangelism – (approved
by 2007 church conference) reaching new disciples
Buildings/Property
U
Trustees – supervision,
oversight, & care of property, provides for insurance, approves
requests for use by outside groups, administers bequests/endowment

Cemetery – manages
cemetery
U
Building Campaign (managed by Trustees)
– plans for major improvements to
the church, also conducts capital campaign to raise funds for these
projects
